Brian and I have met by chance, but it was not love at first sight. Since we are married, we live in Germany, where we have bought a beautiful house. We have a small daughter, her name is Lindsey.
We both fell in love with the Border Collie. It is a working dog with a certain „Will to please“ Which is described precisely what we were looking for.
Now we have our first own Kennel „Fallen Vampire“ because we love everything to do with Vampire-series.

 

What's the reason why we breed?:

We love the Border Collie, that's why we want to produce healthy and strong Dogs with a certain "Will to please" Who will poised in all sectors (Racing, Sporting, Herding, Conformation)

 

All dogs will tested in Disease, Opthalmic and the Joints will be checked, where they will get a document. Send us a request and we will show you the health documents.


Brian and I will only be breeding - if the  Dogs have over 50 points in Confo or at least have half the points they needed for first title in their chosen category, and if we are thinking we have found the right Partner for any of our Dogs. After the selection of the right partner and confirmation of pregnancy, we accompany our dog through the pregnancy and puppy birth.

Our puppies are lovingly coddled from the first moment of her life. The puppies spend their first time alone with their mother, separated from the other dogs. Only we as breeders are sitting in front of the whelping box and see the loving care between mother and puppies. During this time no visit is allowed. Only phone calls and email contact. We do not want to bother the mother and puppies and put all under stress.

During this time Brian and I are in exchanges - with sleep. So we have to observe the occasion each of our puppies very well. They spend the first time, including with her mother and with us. So we can feed the puppies if a fur ball is too thinly.

Now that the puppy be slow to move in active - they will move with about three/four weeks to another room. The puppies are accustomed to every possible noise Such as vacuum cleaners, etc.

Slowly they will get to know our other dogs - Unless permitted by the mother.

With about 6 weeks, the puppies will get for the first time visit, not all at once but gradually. We talk extensively "with the selected candidates." We want to know exactly where the puppies will move to. Since we spend the most time with the little fur balls we know from experience how the puppy is ticking. Quiet, Courageous, Shy, or maybe Cautious. But with the right education everything will handle well. Our puppies are not just sold so easy - we choose carefully the new owners.

Not First come, first serve!

For us, it is not important whether the "new" owner has money – no, for us it depends on the interplay between Owner/Dog. And if we think it fits between them both, the new owner can pick up the puppy within the twelfth or thirteenth week.

Before that happens a few appointment are on the list. Our vet comes often to us to check the puppies and the mother. He will vaccinations the puppies twice and worming, and of course they will get a chip.
